In Autumn
by Winifred C. Marshall
They're coming down in showers,
The leaves all gold and red;
They're covering the little flowers,
And tucking them in bed
They've spread a fairy carpet
All up and down the street;
And when we skip along to school,
they rustle 'neath our feet

Floating Leaf, Fine Art Photograph
Leaves are floating
Leaves are floating
softly down;
Some are red and
some are brown.
The wind goes "swish"
through the air;
When you look back,
there are no leaves there.

The Last Green Leaf, Fine Art Photograph
THE LAST LEAF
by Harry Behn
A few leaves stay for a while on the trees
After their color begins to turn,
And no other leaves seem as gold as these
Not even the ones our bonfires burn
With golden flames in piles on the ground.
A few leaves stay so long that I found
The one last leaf on a tree in the snow,
And when a galloping wind came round
The edge of our house and started to blow
Snow dust to sparkles floating free.
When the wind ran away, almost with me,
And sunshine settled quiet and cold.
There, like a bird, still on the tree
Was that lonesome leaf, no longer gold
But curly and brown and dry and old.

Falling Leaf, Fine Art Photograph
Falling Leaves
Little leaves fall softly down
Red and yellow, orange and brown
Whirling, twirling round and round
Falling softly to the ground
Little leaves fall softly down
To make a carpet on the ground.
Then, swish, the wind comes whistling by
And sends them dancing to the sky.

Fall, Fine Art Photograph
FALL
by Aileen Fisher
The last of October
We lock the garden gate.
"The flowers alive all withered
That used to stand straight.
The last of October
We put the swings away
And the porch looks deserted
Where we like to play.
The last of October
The birds have all flown,
The screens are in the attic,
The sand pile's all gone;
Everything is put away
Before it starts to snow---
I wonder if the ladybugs
Have any place to go.

Autumn Woods, Fine Art Photograph
AUTUMN WOODS
by James S. Tippett
I like the woods
In autumn
When dry leaves hide the ground,
When the trees are bare
And the wind sweeps by
With a lonesome rushing sound.
I can rustle the leaves
In autumn
And I can make a bed
In the thick dry leaves
That have fallen
From the bare trees
Overhead.

A Leaf, Fine Art Photograph
A LEAF
by Aileen Fisher
If I were a leaf
(but I wouldn't be)
I'd have to be tied
to a tree, tree, tree.
I couldn't walk off
(or skip or run)
and my nose would get burned
by the sun, sun, sun.
In summer I'd roast,
(in winter I'd freeze)
and all through October
I'd sneeze, sneeze, sneeze.

Summer's End, Fine Art Photograph
Summer's End
By Judith Viorst
One by one the petals drop
There's nothing that can make them stop.
You cannot beg a rose to stay.
Why does it have to be that way?
The butterflies I used to chase
Have gone off to some other place.
I don't know where. I only know
I wish they didn't have to go.
And all the shiny afternoons
So full of birds and big balloons
And ice cream melting in the sun Are done.
I do not want them done

Fall Leaves Photograph
I love fall. This time of year reminds me of lots of fun things: the promise of change, high school football, pumpkins, Halloween, hayrides, and most importantly, changing leaves.
I believe that fall foliage is God’s way of showing us how rich and vibrant nature can me. When green leaves are transformed to bright yellow, red, and orange.
This year, I hand-picked a lot of leaves and rocks and brought them into my studio and laid them out on a surface by a window and photographed them in as many different ways I could think of. This series of photos are the ones I liked best.

Angel Flight, Original Abstract Angel Fine Art Photograph

On Mondays in March and April, I’m focusing on a new series of abstract photo art that I’ve been working on called Angels of Light. This particular piece is called “Angel Flight.” Angels are many times portrayed as symbols of hope. I hope that "Angel Flight" reminds you that hope comes at moments when you need it most.
“Angel Flight” is my personal favorite from this series. This piece show the beauty and fierce raw power that I believe Angels must have. This idea for this series came to me during the holidays. The light from the Christmas tree looked so beautiful on my collection of angel statutes—that I have to photograph them.
“Angel Flight” was photographed using a Canon camera and a lensbaby lens—a selective focus lens. I combined several exposures in Abode Photoshop to complete the image. The quote reads “Angels can fly directly into the heart of the matter.”
Prints of this artwork are for sell on etsy. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=40985859 “Angel Flight” is signed and dated on the back. It’s not matted or framed. A professional lab prints the image on metallic paper. The watermark isn’t on the final print.

Angel’s Breath, Original Abstract Angel Fine Art Photograph

On Mondays in March and April, I’m introducing you to a new series I’ve been working on since December. This abstract photo series is called Angels of Light. “Angel’s Breath” is featured in this blog article.
There have been several studies based on interviews in which people describe having had an angel encounter in which they were touched, pushed or lifter to avert a dangerous situation. I had a similar encounter when I was pulled out of oncoming traffic when visiting Ireland. I hope that "Angel’s Breath" reminds you that hope comes at moments when you need it most.
This idea for this series came to me during the Christmas holidays. I collect angel tree toppers. I noticed how the pretty the Christmas tree lights looked behind one of my angel figurines. They looks so ethereal and almost heavenly. “Angel’s Breath” was photographed using a Canon camera and a lensbaby lens—a selective focus lens. I combined several exposures in Abode Photoshop to complete the image. The quote reads “I wear a coat of angel’s breath and warm myself with His love.”
Prints of this artwork are for sell on etsy.

Dreaming of Red Lily

“Dreaming of Red Lily” is from my photo vintage series. Dreaming of Red lily signifies happiness and prosperity. This series focuses on creating photos with a soft muted palette that gives the photograph a vintage feel. “Dreaming of Red Lily” was taken with a Canon 30D. The photograph is edited in Adobe Photoshop to make it look like a vintage photograph. The original photograph was taken in Callaway Gardens.

Wind Dancer

A lack of earthly substance and a dose of the ethereal. “Wind Dancer” is part of an abstract photos series called Dreamscapes. This is a tenuous photo of a flower that seems to dance on the wind. Enlarging the view on this photograph will bring out the detail of the flower.
“Wind Dancer” was photographed using a Canon camera and a lensbaby lens—a selective focus lens. I combined several exposures in Abode Photoshop to complete the image. This photograph was taken on my Mom’s porch in Tennessee on a windy day. The flower depicted in the photograph is a petunia in a hanging basket.
I think this photograph looks best printed on metallic paper at a large size—like 16 x20 or larger. At larger sizes you can see the details on the flower best. The image is printed by a professional lab on metallic paper. The watermark isn’t on the final print. his fine art photograph is available in many different sizes. Go here if you'd like to purchase a print.
Random phrases that describe this photograph:
Form and light, Barely formed. Ethereal. Flowing. Gentle breath. Gentle kiss. Willowy. Wispy. Dream-like, light, airy and tenuous, celestial, heavenly, lacking material substance, surreal

Abstract Photo Heartsong

“Heart Song” is from my photo abstract series called Dreamscapes. On a recent visit to my Mom’s house, I photographed a beautiful flower basket she had hanging on her porch. It was a warm windy day—perfect for taking abstract photos. This photograph reminded me of some of the things that “MOM” means to me—a bright warm heart in the middle of the storms of life.
