On Mondays in March and April, I’m introducing my new abstract series called Angels of Light. Today photograph is called “Angel Speak.” .” When we’re asleep, I’d like to believe that our angels inspire us. Do you ever solve problems in your sleep? Sometimes I do. Could an angel be helping me? Sometimes, I dream about important truths being whispered in my ear. In my dream—whatever is said makes me very happy. Even though, I never remember the message when I wake up—I usually feel great. Maybe the angels are speaking to me in my sleep.
This idea for the Angels of Light series came to me during the Christmas holidays. I noticed how ethereal one of my angel statues looked in front of the Christmas tree. “Angel Speak” was photographed using a Canon camera and a lensbaby lens—a selective focus lens. I combined several exposures in Abode Photoshop to complete the image. The quote reads “While we are sleeping angels have conversations with our souls.”
