Bourbon Street, New Orleans

Another Bourdon Street Photo from New Orleans.  I loved the way the clouds and sky looked through the camera lens.

We actually ate breakfast at the Krystal seen in the lower left side of the photo.  They had a great breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast.

Electric Bevolo, New Orleans

I don't know how this happened but I think it's kinda funny. I got this interesting "electric" shot of the Bevolo Gas and Electric Lights store on Royal Street.

Preservation Jazz Band, New Orleans

Preservation Jazz Band we listened to on Bourbon Street on our trip.  I don't know who the band is--but if someone knows--leave a comment.

We had a great time at this place and the band was wonderful

Window Box Flowers, Photos from New Orleans

I took this photo after a rain storm when I was shopping at the antique shops on  Royal Street in the French Quarter.

The antique shops has some really nice things that I would have loved to purchase--but most things were a little out of my price range.

Even though this is a light, happy photo--is of pretty flowers--I found New Orleans to have a dark, moody spirit.  I can totally understand why Anne Rice wrote the vampire stories there.

New Orleans --Bourdon Street

My husband and I recently took a weekend trip to New Orleans.  It was my first visit to New Orleans and I was pretty excited to be visiting.  This week I'll be posting my favorites from the trip.

We stayed in the French Quarter for the most part since we were only there for a few days.  This one was taken on Bourbon Street looking down at Royal Street  or Iberville Street--I'm not sure which. . . .  It was a beautiful summer evening at dusk.

Earlier on the day I took this photo, I dropped my camera lens from a streetcar and it's since worked I was extremely happy that the lens since worked.
