Wind Dancer

A lack of earthly substance and a dose of the ethereal. “Wind Dancer” is part of an abstract photos series called Dreamscapes. This is a tenuous photo of a flower that seems to dance on the wind. Enlarging the view on this photograph will bring out the detail of the flower.

“Wind Dancer” was photographed using a Canon camera and a lensbaby lens—a selective focus lens. I combined several exposures in Abode Photoshop to complete the image. This photograph was taken on my Mom’s porch in Tennessee on a windy day. The flower depicted in the photograph is a petunia in a hanging basket.

I think this photograph looks best printed on metallic paper at a large size—like 16 x20 or larger. At larger sizes you can see the details on the flower best. The image is printed by a professional lab on metallic paper. The watermark isn’t on the final print. his fine art photograph is available in many different sizes. Go here if you'd like to purchase a print.

Random phrases that describe this photograph:
Form and light, Barely formed. Ethereal. Flowing. Gentle breath. Gentle kiss. Willowy. Wispy. Dream-like, light, airy and tenuous, celestial, heavenly, lacking material substance, surreal
