The Ghost

Beyond the earthly realm into the quality of dreams. “The ghost” is part of an abstract photos series called Dreamscapes. This seemingly transparent photo of a petunia has a other worldly or dream-like quality. Enlarging the view on this photograph will bring out the detail of the flower.

“The Ghost” was photographed using a Canon camera and a lensbaby lens—a selective focus lens. The image was edited color corrected in photoshop. This photograph was taken on my Mom’s front porch in Tennessee on a windy day. The flower depicted in the photograph is a petunia in a hanging basket.

I think this photograph looks best printed on metallic paper at a large size—like 16 x20 or larger. At larger sizes you can see the details on the flower best. The image is printed by a professional lab on metallic paper. The watermark isn’t on the final print. This fine art photograph is available in many different sizes here.

Random words that describe this photograph:
Fading. Ghosting. Not quite real. Transparent. Other worldly, Pure and white. Ethereal. Angelic. Dream-like, celestial, heavenly, unworldly, celestial, heavenly unworldly, extremely delicate
